Happy New Year and thank you for following the Empower Tip of the week blog, subscribing to the weekly email, and submitting lots of great questions in 2018. Let’s review the topics we covered in 2018 and answer a few questions I received regarding Empower Software.
Working with mass spec data in Empower Software is easy. Read on to learn more.
Did you know that you could work with MS data from an ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector in Empower? Read more and learn how.
Need to know when to batch process the sample set to get results from Custom Fields in Empower? Read more to learn how.
Want to know how to use the average area of replicate injections of a sample to quantitate my analyte(s) of interest? Learn how to do this using Empower Software.
Learn how to report the maximum pressure during a chromatographic run when using Empower Software.
How can you report the pressure or temperature at a certain time point within the chromatogram? See how to use a Custom Field in Empower Software to do this.
What’s the difference between Summarize Custom Fields and Summarize Custom Fields Incrementally in Empower Software?
This week, we will create an Intersample Custom Field with a summary function, such as average or %RSD, and learn how Empower Software calculates the average area or the %RSD of the area (i.e., for a peak of interest over multiple samples).
What if we wanted to make a calculation in Empower Software involving a peak in one chromatogram and a peak in another chromatogram? In this case, you’d use an Intersample Custom Field. See how to apply it.
